The latest news on the cult sex comedy VIVA, directed by Anna Biller
Viva Trailer, San Francisco Indiefest, Rotterdam Film Festival

Dates and times of Viva's U.S. premiere at the San Francisco Indiefest are: Friday, Feb. 9th, at 7:00 PM and Sunday, Feb. 18th at 9:30 PM at the Roxie Cinema; and Tuesday, Feb. 13th at 7:00 PM at the California Theater. The Roxie is a beautiful historic theater in San Francisco's Mission District, and the California is a Landmark Theater in Berkeley. If you're in the Bay Area, please try to come and bring friends! The next Viva screening after that will be March 10th at 7:00 PM at the Redcat Theatre in Los Angeles, as part of a women's film series curated by Bérenice Reynaud.

Viva will have its official World Premiere at the Rotterdam Film Festival, running Jan. 24th-Feb. 4th. The Dutch are flying me over, and I will be traveling with some friends, and meeting up with friends there. I hope to meet some fascinating Europeans and consume some delicious cheeses while I'm there, as well as view some interesting films. There is also going to be a story about VIVA with an interview in the Dutch magazine Glamcult, possibly with a still from VIVA on the cover.

The VIVA trailer is now online. It's very exploitation, but I think it came out pretty well. You can also check it out on YouTube, along with some other clips from the film. Both links are to the right. Happy New Year!
